One of my favorite things about having a store is the whole interior design factor. Some might say the store is really my excuse to design a space. I love picking crazy colors and furniture that you might think would never work together, but somehow magically do (and hopefully inspire people to buy stuff). One (not-so-)big secret to the interior design of the new BabyBuzz is Blik. The muralist that had painted the old BabyBuzz was overbooked at the time that I needed him, so I decided to look for something different for the new store, and preferably something less expensive. After a very late night of web-surfing, I found just that: a modern, whimsical, different sort of wall graphic. There aren’t many sophisticated interior design elements that you can get for under $40. There are currently three on the walls at BabyBuzz: the Bird Banner over our door (that says “come back soon!”), the Anise flowers behind the register, and a very Dr. Suess-y Blowfish blowing bubbles in the play area. Everyone always thinks they’re painted on and they never fail to make people smile. Well we are very excited to announce that just yesterday, our first Blik order arrived and now you too can have some fun and update your own abode!
